Dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah

I had to run a quick errand at lunch time today...so I ventured out into the murky yuckiness and was quickly surrounded by a group of school kids on a field trip.

What a crappy day to have a field trip - but one young man...undaunted by the rain and gloominess of the day started singing:

John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt,
His name is my name too.

Whenever we go out,
The people always shout,
There goes John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt.

and his classmates responded:

Dah dah dah dah, dah dah dah

now I can't get that freakin' song out of my head!!!

Weird!
America is a scary place.
I'm staying behind my nice protective ocean.

It can get scary at times Dive - hopefully after November it will become less scary.

How on earth do school kids nowadays know THAT song?

I don't know VC, I guess it's passed down from degeneration to degeneration?

I had a boyfiend in high school named John Jacobs - poor guy.

You have got to see the movie "ROCKETMAN" with Harland Williams (a Canadian stand-up comedian). Just go rent it, right away! (You'll understand when you watch it.)
