The Day After

'Twas the day after Christmas
and all through the town
all the shoppers were busy
Since prices were down.

All the retailers were open
at the butt crack of day
since they didn't make money
After Thankssgiving day

OK...that's about all I can think of at the moment. If anyone would like to add to this poem, please feel free. It may be a fun exercise!

I will tell you that the Murphy clan headed out to Doylestown, PA today to visit the Michener Museum.

Dive - Neetzy and I hugged each other for you so I hope you felt the love dude because it was there.

We had a wonderful time roaming about the exhibits. There are a some wonderful impressionists that came out of Bucks County.

Neetzy, being the artist in the family may go into more depth than I can about the artists so I won't even try. My favorite exhibit was called Shifting Ground, through which I have a new favorite photographer Paula Chamlee. Forgive me if I don't have the right words to describe her work, but I am not the wordsmith of the family. (and I've had too much wine to coherently put a creative sentence together at the moment)

I will write more tomorrow, but for now I will leave you with another version of a song that I've already posted here, but felt compelled to re-post again because it is just....so.....well....um.....words just escape me.

(Thank you Presby for this one! I love you for this! Hope you're feeling better! )

PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR A WONDERFUL TREAT!!!!! (Dive, you'll love this)

Good Lord! Pardon the pun. That's the worst Kareoke I've ever heard. Maybe because I'm not drunk right now:) PresbyFruit, you are just twisted, giving that link to Shazza. You know she wasn't gonna be able to NOT post it. At least I actually like the song. What is it about church ladies. They all want to sing two or three keys higher than their natural voice. Oh...and that poor girl. She looked like the only reason she was singing her part was to avoid a good beating.
Shazza, one of these days, I'm gonna find some HORRIBLE song and send it to you for retribution:D

I could just "feel" the joy in their voice. I don't think either of these women have ever experienced an orgasm.

Holy crap, Shazza!
Hee hee hee hee hee!
I just sat and listened to that all the way to the hilarious fade-out.
Boy howdy.

Thank you both for having a hug for the lonely old Englishman. That means a lot to someone who's been a hug free zone since the early 1990s.

Now I'm going to cheer myself up even more by watching that video again. That backing track - especially the funky bass solo toward the end - will give me nightmares for weeks, as will the second part of Neetzy's comment. Ew!

OMG!!! First of all, you gotta love that camera-work with the tight shot of the flowers, but then when it switches to those two happy-go-lucky singers. Well! Did you ever see anything like that?
Come on people! Have a coffee for God's Sake! (seriously)
Honestly, they couldn't pull this off on SNL!

I'm with Vic - I'll be on the lookout for payback. I've got to show this to the hubby. He will die.

Did you listen to the Foster Brooks lady on my site? Search "Foster Brooks's wife" and you'll see it.

Happy, happy!

Kat

Vic - Presby is twisted and that is why we love her sooooo very much! As for the horrible song challenge...BRING IT ON BABY!

Neetzy - ew...yuk...that's something I don't want to think about right now.

Dive - The camera techniques are HIGH quality aren't they. I love the zoom into the flowers just before they present the...uh...ummmm...vocal presentation?

Kat - Happy Happy back at ya! I'll be over to visit soon.

Presby - YOU are responsible for this and we all give you a BIG hug! (Once you are germ free)
