I'm Baaaaaccckkk!

Did ya'll miss me?

Whew! What a trip!

It was good, it was bad and then it was good again.

I am still editing and sorting the photos, but I will share a few for this post just to give you a taste.

My first stop in the UK was a little town in Oxford called Whitney. My friend K lives in a small cottage there and I have to say I was completely charmed by the place.

Here is a view from her window over looking her garden where we sat sipping tea and caught up on each others lives!

Here's another view:

While in Oxford I also visited Blenheim Palace - birth place of Sir Winston Churchill. Good LORD that place was enormous and beautiful.

Here are some pictures of the grounds:

Geez...they must have had some pocket change eh?

We also visited some very pretty wild Blue Bell fields, but unfortunately my camera did not capture it as well as I would have liked it to. (Ok...it wasn't the camera's fault as much as it was the photographer's fault!)

The ugly part of the trip was the sales conference and my reason for going in the first place!!! (I couldn't afford to fly to the UK otherwise!)

We were in Egham which is very close to Windsor and the castle but we didn't have any time to visit and it poured almost the entire time we were there.

I did have a fun night at Wagamama though...even walked away with a cool chili powder dispenser that mysteriously ended up in my pocket book! (I didn't do it...HONEST)

Anyhoo - still recovering a bit from the flights and time differences and trying to un-bury myself from the work/e-mails I accumulated while I was away so I don't have too much time to post now.

I promise more pics later this week!

Be well!

Welcome back! The photos are great and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Your friend's house and garden are lovely.

Welcome back across the pond, as they say in Jolly Old...
If I'd known you were going I would have had you pick up a football jersey for my hubby - he's wild about the English Premier League - it's on in our house all weekend.
Gotta love the old jet lag, eh?
I look forward to future, hilarious posts.
Hey, check me out when you can - I've posted a rather unique bit of fiction instead of a poem, for a change.

Welcome back, Shazza!
I'm sorry I missed you in London, and I also apologise for the weather, but hey; England makes Seattle look arid.

I'm glad you had a good time (other than work, of course).

Hey VC - thanks. Hopefully I'll get more pics up on friday.

Kat - maybe next time I'll pick up that jersey for you. I will check out your blog soon...I promise.

Wyld - thank you! You're a sweetie.

Dive - I didn't mind the weather too much really, I would rather it be raining when I'm stuck at a conference than beautiful and sunny! I'll catch you next visit perhaps!
