ugh

I have been fighting off getting sick since we came back from Puerto Rico.

The day we came home, my left sinus got wind of something and blew up like a balloon inside my head leaving me with the sensation that I had to sneeze constantly.

Allergies - 'tis the season.

I've been popping claritan and benedryl for the past few days and have managed to keep it uder control....until yesterday.

I woke up yesterday with a bit of a scratchy throat. I had to visiit a client and unfortunately had to do a lot of talking...the worse thing for a scratchy throat. As the day wore on...it got worse. Driving back from New Haven, CT I got stuck in traffic. I went through an entire box of tissues, 3 bottles of water, a cup of tea and god knows how many mentholated cough drops.

I cannot be sick. I leave Friday to go to the UK and I do NOT want to be stuck on a plane for 7 hours with my sinuses the size of grapefruits in my head.

Luckily...the doctor can take me in right away this morning...I am going to order some super anti-biotics, then I'm going to fight my dog for a comfortable position on the couch (he jumped up on it and soon as I got up to go to the bathroom the little shit that he is) and sleep for the rest of the day.

I am not sick.

I am not sick.

I am not sick.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well and I hope you're all better before Friday.

BUT, I must know....how did you manage to "hold it" in traffic with 3 bottles of water and a cup of tea in you?????

Thanks VC - I am a big baby when I am sick.

Believe it or not I dind't have that urge to go until I was almost home.

Then I RAN into the house.

I guess I have a big bladder!

Bummer, Shazza.
I know it's fat all compensation but we've all got it over here, too.
The office sounds like a non-stop argument between smokers and drain-cleaners. Gack!
If you come anywhere near Westminster next week, let me know and we can cough all over one another.
Get well soon and have a safe trip!

Hope you feel better! Eat chicken noodle soup, take some Airborne, throw some salt over your shoulder ... whatever might help!

I tried that same chant, it didn't do me any good. Maybe you have good chanting skills and it will work for you.
