Moon and Sun

As I left for work today, it was still plenty dark outside and the full moon was high up in the crisp winter sky. It was gorgeous. Driving west, I watch the moon slowly sinking down and as it hit a certain area of the horizon it looked HUGE! Big and bright, just beautiful.

Behind me...the sky was getting pink and orange. The first few glimmers of the morning sun was peaking up.

I have to say, it's a very cool way to start the day watching the full moon vanish into west as the sun bright and brilliant burst onto the scene.

Very cool indeed!

Those are the kinds of things you have to see in person; they are never captured as beautifully in a photograph.

The moon was also gorgeous last night before I went to bed; I love watching the moon at night. Alas, I'm rarely up early enough to catch it in the morning.
