Penny Curtis - a senior researcher at the university found that: "...clowns are universally disliked by children. Some found them quite frightening and unknowable."
If you ever read the book IT by Stephen King, you'd be afraid of them too!

That's exactly why our generation started the "I don't like clowns" movement——the book "IT".
That, and clowns are just plain creepy.
