Well...we also though banana seats and sissy bars on our bikes were cool. (At least I did)
Playing cards clothespinned to the spokes of your bicycle wheels + walkie talkies + lime green skateboards with plastic wheels = instant coolness.
Wow..what a flashback those things bring to my brain! Obviously you were the queen of cooldom in your neighborhood!
