Mental diarreah

verbal constipation.

Or is it: verbal diarreah and mental constipation?

I guess it all depends on the day, the time, the place, the situation.

BP and the oil leak - whose fault is it really?

Obama vs. the U.S. - did he have a chance? I mean really? Did he?

Tea Party - WTF?

Coffee Party - WTFF?

Sometimes you feel like a nut....sometimes you don't.

I'm feelin' like if we (as a nation) keep this shit up we will have another war (on American soil, against Americans) on our hands.

Jiminy Crickets people - wtf?

Stream of conciousness

Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream.

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily...

Life is but a dream!

Yes? No?

(just a note...my original post had roll, roll, roll. Thank you Robyn!)

Are you kidding me?

Normally I post a photo on Thursdays, but I was just scanning the news and I read this headline:

"PETA wishes Obama hadn't swatted that fly"

In case you missed it, President Obama swatted and killed a fly during an interview the other day.

I was pretty impressed!

Now PETA is in a bit of a tiff over it and they are sending him: "a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device that allows users to trap a house fly and then release it outside."

Bruce Friedrich said that "PETA was pleased with Obama's voting record in the Senate on behalf of animal rights and noted that he has been outspoken against animal abuses.
Still, "swatting a fly on TV indicates he's not perfect," Friedrich said, "and we're happy to say that we wish he hadn't."

Give me a break.

Don't Quit Your Day Job

Happy 2009 everyone!

I was trying to come up with a follow up to my "Drippin' with Cheeze" series that would be both interesting and terrifying at the same time.

I think I've found it.

My inspiration for this series came about when I was looking for a hotel to say at while up in Rhode Island. Visiting various travel websites: Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com I finally checked out Priceline.com.

There he was, William Shatner in his little suit trying to be very ninja like.

Let me preface this to say I am a BIG Star Trek fan. My brother and I watched it as a kid, I got my son addicted to it when he was little (the only action figures he ever owned were from Star Trek).

I liked the original Star Trek, with Captain Kirk, Spock, Lt. Ohura, Scotty, Doctor McCoy, Chekov, Sulu, Nurse Chapman the whole group.

I even liked the Next Generation: Captain Picard, Riker, Worf, Dianna Troi (ggrrrrrr!) and Data.

I wasn't much of a Deep Space Nine fan, but I did like Star Trek Voyager, mostly because I liked Captain Janeway.

Some of my favorite episodes of the original Star Trek are: Plato's Stepchildren (Where the crew of the Enterprise are controlled by a race who re-create Ancient Greece and then use the crew in a play. Captain Kirk and Ohura actually kiss!

The Paradise Syndrome where Kirk is treated like a God. This one cracks me up every time!

Operation Annihilate - where these weird jelly like creature attached themselves to the crew and kill them.

The Man Trap - where a monster sucks all of the salt out of it's victims.

Sooooooooooooo many more, too many to list actually, but you get the picture.

William Shatner has become the poster child for over acting and I don't think he's afraid to make fun of himself at all, which is always a plus in my book.

Dive introduced me to Leonord Nimoy singing the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins song. It has been etched on my brain ever since. If he wasn't on drugs when he made that, he should have. It's a classic case of why some actors should not attempt to sing. Don't quit your day job dude and you'll be just fine!

But there is one performance that will always stand out in my brain: Rocket Man

Introduced by Bernie Taupin: William Shatner "interprets" his version of Rocket Man.

Here he is sitting in his tux, posed dramatically with his cigarette acting out this song. The screen splits and you see 3 different versions of William, but my favorite is when he loosens up his tie and just gets down with his badself.

It's a classic. You don't know whether or not to laugh or cringe.

Peace all, have a great weekend!

Stuck

Do you ever get "stuck"?

There are things you can do...or that need to be done...but you either just don't feel like doing them at that particular moment or you're too overwhelmed by where to start first.

I'm kind of having one of those days today.

Actually - it's been like this all week.

I have a mental list of everything I would like to get done and when I think about it too much, then I start to get a bit anxious about it.

Yesterday was a good day. Busy...I like to keep busy. I don't know what to do with down time...I always feel like I should be accomplishing something.

I cooked pancakes and bacon for breakfast, then we took the dogs for a walk, after that I cut the grass, trimmed the bushes in the back yard, picked all the tomatoes, trimmed the forsythia bushes in the front and then started cleaning out my side garden that I've neglected for way too long.

My back ached and I got a little sunburn, but I felt good.

M and I had some leftovers for dinner and then settled down to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I am not a big TV fan...I hardly ever watch it, but she bought the series on DVD and now she's gotten me hooked on the damn thing. It's really well written and it's funny and pokes fun of itself a lot. I like that!

It's interesting to see that they can have a show about vampires, and demons, hetero sex and witches casting spells, but to show a lesbian kiss they had to switch networks. I'm not sure of the logic on that one.

Today...I need to finish the garden clean up...then I have piles of "stuff" all over my desk that I've been meaning to organize.

But I'm like...stuck.

I want to do all of it...but I don't know where to start.

Then there are these staring things I keep finding myself doing.

We were eating dinner last night and I froze...mid-chew.

M was waving her hand in front of me and saying: "Yoooohoooo! Where did you go?"

Off into the planet Shazmataz I guess?!?!

WTF?

:::sigh:::

Got - to - keep - moving!!!

But first I got to start moving.

My first task...make a list. I'm a Libra on the cusp of Virgo...we love lists, but we can never make up our mind what should go first.

Alrighty then...first thing I'm going to do is shred a bunch of paper (receipts, statements, and the odd rantings of a lunatic mind) Hopefully the shredding sound will awaken the part of me that will kick my own ass into action.

Wish me luck!

From the really freaky files

RIP Angel Pantojo Medina of Puerto Rico.

He was only 24 years old...but he had a wish.

A wish to be "standing up" at his wake.

And...it was granted thanks to a special embalming process.

Check this y'all -

There is Angel "Angelito" hangin' wid' da homies over there in the corna.

Posing with Mom (Check out Mom's t-shirt)

"Damn...I make "dead" look good!"

(Do you think this is a new ad campaign for Dolce and Gabbana?)

Angelito was found underneath a bridge.

His death is listed as "untimely".

Hmmmmmm....

This is probably disrespectful of the dead but does anyone else out there want to start singing:

"I'm still standin'...yeah..yeah...yeah!!!"

This freaks me out more than the roadside memorials.

Oh...get it out...get it out!

I was driving home from work tonight and I turned off my iPod and decided to listen to the radio for a bit.

BIG mistake!!!

The radio station I was playing was doing one of those: 70's at 7:00 shows.

Normally, this is fine - I like the music from the 70's. It's really the music I grew up with so most of the songs on the radio I know all the words to and I usually sing right along.

But then...Bad Blood by Neil Sedaka came on and I can't get the freakin' thing out of my head.

First of all...I never realized it was Elton John that sang in the background of that song - what an unlikely duo that is

and secondly...Neil Sedaka kind of freaks me out.

He always reminded me of that kid you knew...in your neighborhood, that no one really liked, but he was always around and always kind of obnoxious. A "Mama's boy" who liked to put tap shoes on and sang and danced for his grandma and the weird assortment of "unmarried" aunts in his living room while his Mom played along on the organ.

You remember that kid?

They either grew up to be a serial killer or a profanely successful, either way...you still couldn't like him/her.

SO...I tried to exercise my demons and get the damn song out of my head by wondering over to YouTube to see if I could find a video to watch. (it's the sadist in me...I can't help it)

And I found this:

This...

this....thing....

What in HEAVEN's name is this?

Now I can't stop watching this video.

It is HORRIBLE.

I am going to have nightmares about this...I just know it.

I am mesmerized.

I'm terrified.

I am....very sorry that I made you all watch this. Thank goodness most of you don't know where I live.

(what the hell is that pasted on his right butt cheek anyway? is that a flower)

Huh?

I saw this add on Facebook today:

Can someone tell me if this is a girl with really thick eyebrows or a boy with a very girlish face?
